Great game, so far i got 50 hours down and the sceneries it gets you into, won't get bored!
While playing I thought about how handy it would be to have a compass on the UI, while my travels, I quickly loose track of the camera rotation. It could be a expensive item one could craft on higher tiers or buy for a lot of cats in a Tech hunter or Machinist store for obvious lore reasons.
*edit* I saw there was already one request for it way back in 2013, but having a compass would be real comfy! So I gentlie want to push the topic. *edit*

Selection lock one person then open your map
it will show you which way you are facing with a arrow.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?

As the original requestor of the compass in the ui, and as one who has spoken out against making the map more automated I still want a compass.
I love using the map to get my bearings and see where I'm headed, for me that is a definite high point to the look and feel of Kenshi, but because the 3d engine doesn't allow me to maintain that direction without losing sight of my squads behind rocks and buildings, I still would like a compass so that I can reorient myself without have to open the map every time my squad travels under a bolder or behind a hill. And let's face it, traveling through the swamp can make you dizzy is you are trying to keep and eye out for spiders.

You can actually use the planets/moons as a makeshift compass. They never move in the sky, and are pretty much always visible. Once you figure out what direction they are in, a quick glance around should help you get your bearings.
While I can see a use for a compass, I would hope to have the ability to turn it off. I enjoy getting lost in the game, so much so that I actually deleted the planets/moons in the sky since they were always telling me what direction I was looking.
