A handful of late suggestions.

Rimworld/Project Zomboid-esque character traits.
The reason why I love those games is because of how different each playthrough is.
And this is mainly due to the fact every traits that make your characters gives you a different experience each time.
some might lead you to slavery until you have enough skills to get out of your shackles. Or to a more balanced or specialized game.
I doubt a Rimworld like system of persistant wound would be good though. But the localisation system is already present so it is not inimaginable.
Animal Husbandry
(From Hatsune on Steam: "taming is a luxury feature that might eventually be added when the Devs have time. ")
Animals, two sexes, babies.
Milking, abbundant high quality meat for pup age bulls, medium quality meat for teens with a few goodies, and medium to bad quality meat for adult meat.
I haven't played much around animals, I've seen Garru and Bull backpacks so I'm thinking you can buy both.
But what if, instead of a backpack, you put a saddle?
What if, instead of a saddle, you put a giant crossbow platform?
I feel bad I have no drawing skills but I can see those gorrilos and beakthings, a character on their back throwing bolts to surrounding ennemies.
Maybe a skill related to that, allowing you more and more interaction with the animals.
I doubt a rookie could mount a gorrillo or a beak thing. Let alone tame one.
And a skill related to simple mechanical creations, one that is not robotics.
Kind of like Fallout, with the science skill. Where after a certain level you can hack, disable or turn ennemies against their allies while in sneak mode.
There is more.
With slavery incoming, it would be good to be able to sell your slaves from town to town with caravans. And when I say caravan I mean it.
Imagine a couple of bulls pushing a wooden carriage with plates of rusty metal to make the car a little sturdier. A patchwork like, cloth/ leather cover, holding 6 skinny enchained slaves or 3 sleeping characters and a few boxes in the back.
Chemistry
Explosive Bombs, Phosphorus bombs, Debilitating gas, sleeping gas, blinding powder, firecrackers to draw ennemies or torture the people in your cages... Ninja stuff, pic related.
Unlikely, but that would be funny.
It kinda goes hand in hand with a last suggestion
One Handed Crossbow
Ranged is coming someday, why not having an expert crossbow of small size with good short range accuracy, good reload speed but very low damage. Needs to be used in pair with chemistry to add poisoned, explosive or smoke projectile.
Needs to be the weapon blueprint you find end game. In a Lost Library garded with top tier NPCs you can only beat with a group of very specialized and god tier characters.
