A good use for the green camera rotation marker

Hello. I've thought of a good use for the round green camera rotation marker, because as it stands I don't understand what it's for.

The triangular movement marker has been a great help in confirming that my move commands were registered and where, but even a beginner doesn't need to be told they're holding the camera rotation button.... right?

Here's my suggestion: when your artist comes back from his well-deserved vacation, have him add a little N for north, and code it to always point north.

That's right, a compass. A way to tell which way you're oriented without having to open the map or look at planets that aren't always visible, and without adding intrusive UI elements. After all, it's fully togglable and meant to help beginners, right?

I hope you like this idea.

I do. I have wanted a compass for a long time. I love the map and having to navigate where I'm gong but a compass would help me keep straight on the world after I look at the map.
