Tailoring, Leatherworking, Armour Smithing...

For the record, I searched up "tailoring" as a keyword to see if this suggestion came up before, and it hasn't... so don't bite my head off if you've seen it before, please.
This is a very minor suggestion to address a very weird balancing issue I see with the game:
All too often, I find myself or others stitching together rag shirts from prototype to specialist grade, then suddenly becoming big and burly blacksmiths forging only the finest samurai plate armour money can buy.
This is silly. Though not all RPGs or MMORPGs have done this, I believe separating the armour crafting into Tailoring, Leatherworking, and Armour Smithing would make much more sense from a balancing and progression perspective. Make the Greenlanders superior tailors, Scorchlanders the finest leatherworkers, and Shek the best armour smiths (or something like that, yeah?).
Thoughts?

So...your race some how determines how good you are at producing things?
seems kinda silly.
pretty sure how well you make something is based on your knowledge of the materials you're using an the best ways to combine/mix them, an the method in which you over lay them determines how well things like armour/clothing works more than what race you are.

Your idea sounds very right, althought i don't know how probable the implementation would be. I mean, i have no idea how hard it would be to add 2 new skills and rebind them to certain benches. Although tailoring may go along with medicine, since medics can sew bedrolls, apparently
Chinsei, not to be racist, but racial proficiency at certain crafts is indeed a thing. Quick instances: China - porcelain, India - silk, Japan - katanas (or anime, whichever suits you best), Middle east - some narcotics (and up untill some point back in time they've been crafting bows unmatched by other nation's craftsmen), Africa - i'm not sure, but some ivoryware, maybe; and so on and so forth. It's not purely "racial", but you get the idea. Some races may hold some secrets in certain crafts, and other may just do certain tasks better.

And abundance of resources to produce something does not equate to racial proficiency.
China has a long history of producing "chinaware" which means a long history of people who've learned and practiced the craft.
They're good at it because they've learned techniques to do it. they aren't good at it because they're Chinese. they're good at it because they've been at it for a long time.
but someone who isn't Chinese can learn , to make Chinaware just as good or better than a Chinese individual if they so dedicated themselves to do so. especially in the modern age where all you need to make something well is to know how something is made. and to set out to make the best .
