Currently in the steam workshop there is a mod that puts the cannibal faction into a "hate" status so that your squad auto attacks them on site rather than having to be told to.
This should be a feature.
You should be able to set a status= hate, so that your squad will attack people on sight that you hate.
A faction "hate" setting in the diplomacy tab

I still can't understand whats the fuss about player characters NOT hating anything on sight. What's the problem with manually attacking what you want to attack?

Most of the game is automated.
If i build a base in the can't able plains, it would be nice to not have to micromanage everyone when i am on the other side of the map.

If you're attacked, your guys will defend, no need to manage. If cannibals are just passing by - what's the point? When they grab a defeated character and drag them for dinner, while others still fighting though, that might be a problem, since kidnapper may not be considered a target at all (while in fact, they're priority) but i don't think auto-attack will resolve that.
I'm just thinking that it might create more problems then it would solve. For instance, if running away target is fast enough, potentially, they could stray your whole squad away from base, to god knows where. So beside making the "hate button", the "stop chasing" button must be added. Then, when they should stop chasing? Maybe the target is carrying away some precious loot, or one of your characters? Then there should be "override stop chasing if carry precious stuff" button. And so on.
Hate button won't really hurt, i guess, since it's a button, but i'm just afraid it'll be a busywork for devs.

A checkbox next to each faction to KOS them would be immensely helpful. Including one for wildlife (and herbivores).
I want my crossbows to attack them before they get up to my gates and start hacking through it.Sol Lignum wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2017 6:12 pmI still can't understand whats the fuss about player characters NOT hating anything on sight. What's the problem with manually attacking what you want to attack?

I did find a very useful function for it: attacking can'tables when they are in the medic stage.Sol Lignum wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2017 6:05 amIf you're attacked, your guys will defend, no need to manage. But yeah also shooting people before they start attacking the gate would help too.
Actually I have 3philthymcnasty wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2017 3:10 pmCurrently in the steam workshop there is a mod that puts the cannibal faction into a "hate" status so that your squad auto attacks them on site rather than having to be told to.

Cannibal factions
Bandit factions(most)
Beast "factions"
And I fully agree that an "Attack on Sight" checkbox would be far better. I'd love those mods to become obsolete.
