Finder's Fee

When slavers collect slaves from your porch, they should pay a fee. Could even be a flat or bulk rate, just 250 cats a head. Just a thought. I tore some bandits up out east at my base as a slaver troup came by, and they are making BANK right now. I want my cut.

you can pick them up and drop them off at a slave building to get your cut.

This is the post apocalyptic world we choose to live in. Even your neighbors look to profit off of your flesh. Instead of helping your fellow man you beat them down into the dust and then sell off what remains.

yep
belive its called our squads.
it would prevent you from getting enemy NPCs following you so you can set up a bottle next to slavers and try and profit when they take the casualties. it's too easy to exploit your idea. especially since you would also get the slavers fighting to help you.
making cats in game is too easy already.

I dunno, This would open the door for them demanding a fee. They would say: "pay us for collecting your trash" and you would have to pay 200 per knocked out person picked up.
I sort of view it as them being nice. I let them cut through my yard, and they pick up garbage on their way through.

The problem is not the making cats, it's the lack of stuff to spend the money on.
Once you get a self sufficient base, you are rolling in the kitties.
Now, there are a few ways to fix this long term: one way is making money a physical thing in game, and only a physical thing. So that you have to put it in a safe in your base, and this makes the bandits want to rob you all the time. That would be fun. You can't buy weapons and food, unless the money is on you.
It also makes trade runs more dangerous, as everyone knows your rich, and they will want to mug you now.
there needs to be more fees and services. Perhaps a new type of recruit, an AI farmer that you can pay to work on the less dangerous bases that only does normal work, no fighting. Or long term mercenary contracts that are a weeks not days.

I like the idea of paid help/labor and long term merc contracts.
