I wish we could click on a machine and see who is assigned to it. I know I could click through all of my squad members and see which one has the job to run that machine, but it would be nice to figure out how many people are assigned.
Also, maybe with the character's name, we could see the number that the job is assigned in their job list.
See who is assigned to what machine or task

Perhaps if a listing of who is working what is a bit much. maybe then just an indicator of some kind that lets us know, no one is assigned to work it.
As an example:
Sometimes when i have many plots of farming close to each other, it can get harder to be sure i've got all of them being worked.
An indicator to point out machines that have no one assigned at all, would be a nice helper on its own. Especially as bases grow to whole town/cities this would be nice to quickly spot.
And in thinking about work assigning/player's challenge of labor management.
Some indicator by the game when a worker has either too much to do or too little to do.
Like if a worker has three or more tasks that they could be doing all of at once, but they only do the top stack item. This is inefficiency in the work assigning that is actually hard to discover for the player. When a worker could be doing so much at once but is not, we'd see a situation of potentially needing to assign more workers to those tasks. But only if we could see/understand that this is going on right now, and that can be a bit of manually clicking on stock inventories and number crunching to try and figure out. While that data is already present in the system(the worker is hierarchy choosing between many work options) it just has no way to be indicated to the player that is going on.
If all listed tasks had a color highlight that indicate:
green: can be and is being worked on right now
yellow: could be but is not being worked on right now
red: can't be worked on right now
Then the player could instantly see when a worker had way more to do than they could be doing right now. And when a worker was generally kept busy without leaving too many tasks just not getting done.
Additionally any worker that is idle > X% of a day. That is also potentially an important labor inefficiency a player would want to see to, but does need a way to make that determination/have this data, in order to be able to have agency on this situation.
A simple indicator of some kind that draws player attention to any worker that was aimless for >X% of a day would help us be better able to manage our group's labor.
Perhaps only workers that have any assigned tasks show this, and then this is shown to the player by highlighting the top of their task list in blue or something. To indicate they have assigned tasks but spent the last day aimlesss for >X% of the day.
