Love the game, but here are some sugestions.

I loved my first 3-4 hours with the game, and I had a blast!
However I'd like to add some suggestions to the already long list.
The main thing I missed is context for the world itself.
Who is the Holy Empire, how cool are the Sand Ninjas really, and wtf happened to our planet to become this huge wasteland. I get that this rpg is about creating your own story, your own view of the world. However some context would be very welcome.
I know factions will become a big thing, and it is still being implemented. If it's not on the drawing board yet, add spying. These factions could be at war, and knowing when, where, and with how many men the factions will strike next would be valuable. Not only when you are fighting with them, but also on the information market. Stealing schematics for inventions, and trade route information, and possibly bribing to gain the upper hand would be very cool.
Allow for zooming on the world map, and giving orders to people by clicking on it. Perhaps even add waypoints for trade caravans, and patrols so they can be automated.
Day, and night cycle, with added visibility changes.
This would allow for a lot more depth, not only for strategic planning, but also a lot of atmosphere.
if day, and night cycles are added I'd like to see decreased visibility. The moon could be casting light, so if your ambush party has the moon to their backs they have a high chance of being spotted due to their silhouettes.
But before all this, please add multithreading, and improve the overall stability of the game.
Anyways as I said I had a blast building my first shack, recruiting Long Bob, and Tiny Tim to the Duck Armada, and scavenging corpses left behind by the Holy Empire.
