Lo-Fi Games

This has been done in other games, but I like the sound of it for Kenshi. How about adding the option to take direct control of one of your troops? Enable the button and you give up the top down command mode and go into a single man/woman over the shoulder (or even first person) viewpoint where you directly control the combat. Swing direction, movement controls, manual blocking. It would add more depth to the combat, and give a skill based advantage to players who control their soldiers well. This would also entertain a wider variety of players, so would be a good selling point to the game.

I think that a first person view would be awesome, but it would be too hard to implement. I might be able to live with an over-the-shoulder view, though.

It would be nice to have a third person perspective to run around as, especially when only one merc is available.
