If you want to recruit people, you have to build a saloon, place a shop counter in the saloon and fill the shop counter with beer. If you check in your saloon, u might see some people in chairs drinking that u can recruit, just keep the beer flowing and people will come.
Enemy size, fighting skill, and gear when it comes to raids can be measured in how much wealth u have. If u start making bread, the get a little wealth and bandits will come in small numbers to take the bread, if u start making beer, that would attract a little more attention, so sand bandits will come in large numbers. If you make a lot of weapons, sand ninja will come for the weapons, who doesn't want a new sword, right
When I saw a holy empire solider attacking bandits, it said on his action bar "territorial aggression" umm, unless Catan belongs to the holy empire, I don't get it. So maybe you can set city's as provinces.they will have a border and the faction that belongs to a city will patrol it's territory.
When it comes to storage, maybe instead of storage for certain things, you make a stockpile and designate only certain items to be stored in the stockpile.( idea based of dwarf fortress)
My idea on recruiting, bandit raids, provinces, storage

that just means they are defending the area around them considered their "territory"mehelsel wrote:When I saw a holy empire solider attacking bandits, it said on his action bar "territorial aggression
your saloon sounds very much like the pub that is already in the game. You might need to elaborate more on whats different.mehelsel wrote:If you want to recruit people, you have to build a saloon, place a shop counter in the saloon and fill the shop counter with beer. its been confirmed to have different personalities for factions. If you ask me tho, ninjas stooping as low as banditry?, if you have ninjas attacking they would just take your entire town. Probably the same goes for well setup factions like the Empire or Imperials.mehelsel wrote:Enemy size, fighting skill, and gear when it comes to raids can be measured in how much wealth u have. A stockpile would make alot more work for chris at this point, i think storage will stay as a chest. (also he is a pirate).mehelsel wrote:When it comes to storage, maybe instead of storage for certain things, you make a stockpile and designate only certain items to be stored in the stockpile.( idea based of dwarf fortress)
as with having bigger storage, you can already stack upto 6 times in a bag, then you just store the bag in a chest. (certainly save alot of programing than if you make the chest biger. makes you pay for the size to)
I also disagree with using a very similar system to another game (particularly recent one) as it takes away alot of the originality and uniqueness.
