Renting YOUR Buidlings to NPCs

Sure, you could go to a town to rent a building to sell your goods. What if you could rent out a building in your own town, one that you built but aren't using to NPCs? The NPC would technically own that building, and would owe you a certain amount of cats... monthly? Whatever the standard time unit for the planet of Kenshi would be. Not only that, but you would also have a new vendor to trade with in your own town.
Are they late on their payments, sick of looking at their face? Evict them.

i think this is just a must have, simply because the AI can do it.
so im going to presume this is already a planned feature

I can't swear it's a feature that is coming, but it certainly seems like a logical progression once other factors are taken care of. In the future we'll be able to hire workers, at least that was the plan at one point in time, and given that it seems reasonable to assume that we'll be able to house them in a bunkhouse, and put up a number of smaller buildings for sale if our workers want a better home. Larger buildings could potentially house merchant shops, outposts we put up for sale could theoretically be occupied by the Traders guild faction, and the size of our outposts and relative security could potentially be calculated into the price we can charge for the structures. There are a great many things that will be coming first though, namely AI faction wars, AI faction harassment, more organized banditry... In the end though, I imagine Kenshi will give us the ability to sell or rent out buildings to NPCs.

Think is good but, if you gonna rent them the buildings, then the ones we buy should have that option too, buy or rent(instead of just buy), tho the seller/renter could choose to do just one or the other.

Seing Clawdius mentioning harassement and the shops talk, made rememebr a sorf of mafia xD, "Hey shoppkeeper, want some protection about pay us?".

For now is buying not renting, left click on a door of a building in a citty, if it is for sale it will show a price for you to click if you want to do so.
