Idea- Maps and compasses

I don't think I spelled compasses right but I think it would be cool if you had to craft pieces of a map then combine them to make a bigger map, if you keep on doing it then the map would be complete. The compass feature is just to know direction (although I may have no use for it, it could be helpful to other people)
