I used the military ones for an example, as I said they could be redone to fit. Maybe just a simple side pouch. You could go with a vintage medical bag, messenger style, or simply make it a strap on pouch. Obviously ones made for magazines aren't gonna work, but you can simply do a new a thing, these just examples of current webbing, as is only side, hip, butt, back or maybe leg pouch are options with the armor meshes we got. S maybe just on pounce strapped to the side, a rear facing pouch not really a great spot for medic pouch, belt mounted one.
Either way the idea is simply to add some diversity, and have it take the back pack slot, just rename it storage slot so instead of light back you can equip a pouch that fastens over your mesh on the lower, back, hip(s) heck you could have it near the hip and over the pants a bit, although it would look ugly with samurai pants. To me having extra storage especially when thirst and hunger put in is gonna be a big deal. I mean the pack mules system right now of one non combat with a heavy trader bag works, but once I need some one to hold loot, some one one to hold food and water, and another for spare med kits, it gets a little overwhelming for the squad wandering the desert with no home base.
I mean right now I got 2 small back packs in circulation just to help with looting armor and pants that are worth something. And with cannibals on the loose put all my valuables on one pack mule feels risky. I mean that would suck if in a good fight I lost the guy holding the food and water, had busted legs, and had to limp to the nearest shelter to resupply and rest. And as is the guy with the trader pack carries all my spare med kits, and hands out basic replacements as needed for my non medics.
Heck I would take a tacky fanny pack if it could hold med kits, and eventually a bottle of water and a ration biscuit. I am just looking for something lighter then a small bag, and looks kind of nice. This is zero rush on this request. just a simple next time your working on new gear and got a second feel free to mull over an ugly fanny pack.
Oh and the jacket with the messed up mesh looks like a vintage army item. The coat itself and the belt that comes with it. Looks like a WWII vintage coat and belt. Same with the small pack looks like a tan vintage pack a solider might have had.
