That'd actually be awesome also a drop down box to sell different types of materials such as material used to make things and weapons would be a nice touch.

So far I'm working on Buster Sword, Auron's Masamune, Bows, Mace, Dark Knight Halbred, Zangetsu, Guts' Dragon Slayer, Zweihander, Baselard, Daedric Two handed axe, and more to follow.

No no no no no. This would lead to people accidentally selling soo much crap. And keep in mind weapons and armor cost like 5x more to buy back. A drop down for auto selling all of a certain trade good item might work, but not a "everything in the inventory" button.

I agree with Tolwrath, a drop-down or additional buttons on the shopkeeper's inventory to allow selling of specifically trade goods or weapons made by manufacturers that aren't homemade, etc.

Could maybe just make it an easy ctrl+right click to sell all, that the merchant has money to buy, of the item you click.
No need for drop down lists and extra buttons.
Seriously... when it comes to UI and interactions on this level... less is definately more.
Keep adding buttons and boxes and menus and you will just end up with a game that is about how to navigate buttons boxes and menus. :P

Eh, thinking on it, I think I'll change my suggestion.

I agree with Vharc's, an easy ctrl+click to sell stacks at a time.

Stacks would be fine too.
But I meant sell all of that Type of item up to the limit of the shop keepers funds of course.

I think a "sell all" button would be useful, but it will likely become more negative than positive if used for selling anything besides trade goods, as weapons and armor have a tremendous difference between buying and selling prices whereas trade goods are the same price whether buying or selling.

You can sell accidentally your medkit and that is a problem after a battle or an expensive sword so.....I think this button isn't essential, if you want to sell stuff faster just right click on them. ;)

if there was to be a sell all button think maybe using like Ctrl or Shift to sell a single stack would be best. so then you only sell that one stack.
This style is in a few other video games i play and for me its my most prefered way of selling stacks of goods in those games. Easy to use and fast, no popups to deal with. might even be easy to code in. ( not sure though since i don't know how to code )

I am not sure what code is used here... haven't worried about it... too busy playing. :P
From what I remember of the classes I took in basic, C++, and the self taught Java from when it was new... It shouldn't be that hard. A few if and or arguments in the proper fields pertaining to vendors and sells.
Of course as far as I know coding period could be exponentially more complicated than C++ 20 years ago or so. :P

Can't you already drag and drop an entire stack of goods by holding shift and using left click? So that's kinda already in the game.

Edit: I don't know why I quoted you instead of vharc, but I did, so deal with it.

I was trying to make a more sensible suggestion than a sell all button. I know you can sell by stacks, etc. Was just suggesting something easier to implement than coding in extra buttons and features and that made more sense than selling off Everything in your inventory at once. Kind of a middle ground between what exists and their suggestion.
Ctrl+Click or whatever and sell all of the item you clicked, up to the limit of the shop keeps funds. Not click a button and empty your inventory. Just seems to make a little more sense to me and seems it would be much easier to code in than the other and wouldn't require a change to the UI with the addition of yet another button. :P

Currently, drag-n-drop can cause things to disappear on occasion.

Plus, clicking is always superior to dragging.

Yeah, I think the interface is perfect right now. Once all the content is put in play, then we can worry about the UI.
