Playing as a Bandit
Perhaps there could be a starting option where you will start with the gear of a starving bandit and you will be on good terms with bandits instead of towns? This might not work until more is in the world but perhaps at one point it will be an was way to get a different experience.
Sounds like an awesome way to go.
Perhaps there could be a starting option, let's give it an arbitrary title of Faction Choice.
The player selects this option to start a new game, and it will list every NPC faction in the world, and the player can pick to start at rock bottom albeit aligned with the selected faction.
This will allow starting as bandits, cannibals, ninjas, or any other future faction to come.
Then again, I do recall reading somewhere that it will eventually be pretty easy to pick what path you want to take from any starting option through Missions or other means.
