Greetings, I've been playing Kenshi sense it came out on steam, I like the game a lot and I must say that it is going very well in development, so keep up the good work!
Now onto my suggestions about improving the crafting system, First off I find it very annoying that if I am making a mass of weapons for my squad that I have to scroll down every time I add a weapon to the query. if the weapon I am adding is down the list, the scroll goes back to the top every time, making it annoying to have to keep scrolling down to add another weapon to the list.
So instead it would be nice to have a "Keep X of Y in Stock" button or a "Craft X many of Y" button in the weapons crafting system. (maybe even a infinite repeat order button)
Now onto my equipment management idea, it would be nice to have a management button, possibly below or above the help button that would auto equip your squad with weapons from your stock, You could have it where you can put in a weapon class, say Katana for main weapon and Club for secondary weapon, Now for armor class you could have it where, for say shirt, you could put in Leather Turtle Neck and they would equip it from your stock when one became available.
Also on the note of auto equipping, it would be nice to also add to that a option to keep X amount of things like med kits, and later arrows in they're inventory,
This would help with the tedious part of the game and equipping your squad and keeping them supplied.

Also there could be templates, for say you can define "classes" for say, Heavy, Medium or Light and each one would have different set of equipment.
Crafting Improvement/Equipment Management
+1 to make the scroll bar stop returning to the top!
I think I like the idea of player-defined templates, or "classes", for auto-equip in order to save Chris a load of work while allowing flexibility for everyone. And a char's "class" can be defined in the (C)har or (I)nventory screens with a drop-down displaying all the player's templates.
Creating queues could go several routes.
I have grown to love the Manager system in Dwarf Fortress.
To explain, a char is designated to be a Manager, which allows access to the Management screen. The Management screen allows the player to create requests for X amount of Y item, and all available workers, that are allowed to accomplish the task, immediately begin fulfilling the request.
To accomplish this in Kenshi, the Jobs function would have to change to an Assignment function, so that instead of working endlessly; the Assignment function tells the char what s/he is allowed to touch, and then will only work when a request is placed through the Manager.
I feel this may be more useful in the future when you are forced to monitor their hunger, thirst, fatigue, and other survival elements. You would not want all of your workers dying just because they refused to leave their job.
