As the title says, I think it would be really cool and humorous to see little insulting quips appear above your character, when using the Taunt feature during combat. Wouldn't you love it if your character shouted such gems as:
"Starving? Go beg to the cannibals, they'll fatten you right up!",
"I hear your "dear holy empire leader" likes the taste of little boys' feet!",
or even "Your clothes remind me of your mother, ragged and used up!"?

If you like the idea of this little touch (pun intended), add in more quotes / insults that you think characters should yell while taunting.

I could see this being fun, don't forget to include the famous.

"You're mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elder berries!"
"I fart in your general direction!"
"Go away or I shall taunt you a second time!"
and so on.

So.. what if there were a .txt document that held a list of quips that players could modify as they desired.

I totally agree with this, although I don't have any taunts in my mind atm.

Yes this would be amazing! I would like to see characters give the two fingers from walls and distance just to wind enemies up even more.

Adding a few more taunts.
Bandit: "Once you're dead I'm gonna... you're wife's pretty ugly, but your kids on the other hand..." (alternate: "... ugly, I'll just use your kids instead!")
Cannibal: "I bet you taste worse than the cat I ate last night."
Cannibal: "You're head's gonna look nice as a soup bowl."
Holy Order: "Confess your crimes, and I might not have to cut off all your limbs."
Dust Bandit: "The Dust must flow! And so must your blood!"
Dead Cat to a Nekuman: "Aww Curious kitty wants to play... I think I'll keep you as a personal "pet"!" (Reference to slave trade, sex or otherwise).

I imagine something like this was already planned, but I will say that your specific taunts are rather amusing. They're getting progressively more disturbing though, you may want to look into that.

Lol at least I'm trying not to swear or to explicitly use the word '****'.

Edit: would having a cannibal line about head cheese be considered too... cheesy?
Edit 2: A friend just game me these two
At starving bandits: "how many potatoes does it take to kill a starving bandit? None! I use my sword!"
General: "My grandmother fights better than you, and she's an 80 year old seamstress!"

"Ah, Guests. I'll prepare the gallows."

Just a few more taunts to keep it fresh.

"Are those turrets compensating for something?"
"You're not even worth the 100 cats bonus for a confirmed kill" (cats is the name of the money)
"That armor wouldn't protect you from a toothpick, and it makes you look fat!"
"They say "Good walls make good neighbors." Robert Frost said it." (Robert Frost did not say this. He said he didn't understand it)
"More target practice"
"Like shooting ugly crippled people in a barrel"

" You call that a Sword? now this is a Sword !" Anyone with heavy weapons
"Its dinner time and i promised everyone at home minced meat bees" Cannibals
" I get your point, no need to drive it home" after running away
"ini mini miny mo, Your lunch, your dinner and your desert, and you are breakfest! " Cannibals
"Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, I'm gonna stain the sands red with you! " Bandits or anyone.
"Precious, my Precious" Starving bandits as they steal food.
"Food, Food. FOOD, food! Food, Food? Food!! FOOD! " Starving bandits done in the seagull way when they say mine!
My Stick is bigger than your's! " When facing starving bandits and you have a heavy club.

Ha, good stuff. I've started making a txt file of all your taunts already

I'm not good in these but I'll try

Cannibal: "You have pretty face, I wonder if it tastes as good as it looks" or "I hope your face doesn't taste as bad is it looks"
Black cat: "What's the matter? Cat stole your tongue?"
To someone using heavy armor: "Your armor looks shiny. Shame you can't move in it!"
Sand Ninja: "Sand is my home and it's about to become your grave."
Trader: "Come to see my wares? For you I can only offer steel and pain."

"Your (mom/wife) fought better then you"
"I seen sheep fighter better then this and they were tied down"
"Are all the bandits scared of a fight or is it just you"

Bandit raiding a town- "Lets go boys! Time to the horses and ride off on the women!"

"Arse??"
