European Style Weapons

Will there ever be in the inclusion of any weapons other than those inspired by Japanese style weaponry?

It would cool to see Arming Swords and such like work their into the game, and perhaps Scimitars or Sabres.

It would also be cool to see the option to use shields or bucklers with one handed weapons if they were ever included.

It is possible to add new weapons to Kenshi using the provided mod tools.
Its possible to add new entries, create 3D models and textures for them, and give them an existing animation so you can totally have scimitars, longswords, spatha, kopis, etc.
