Did a few searches beforehand but came up empty so sorry in advance if this has suggestion before(wouldn't be surprised)

While i don't know what the stance is on complete robots, there are parts in-game already so one can assume they'll be in to some extent. And we'll most likely be getting pets at some point, i started to think "well why not robot pets that can be used as pack mules" Pretty much like today's Boston Dynamics LS3 and others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJZQ3n-iQYE&t=12

They'd be able to carry a lot, extend their carrying capacity with specialized bags, maybe not be that fast, decently armored to take some hits but generally wouldn't be able to attack. Their purpose would simply be to carry big loads around.

It might be asking a bit much in this post-apocalyptic-like wasteland to have gyrostabalized robotic animals but just thought i'd throw it out there.

There are plans for robotic limb replacements eventually so it would be a pretty cool deal to eventually turn your character(s) into full cyborg(s), or be able to construct robotic creations, in addition to your robotic animal/pack mule request.

+1 all of the above

With lots of research! You should have to start with a prototype that sucks and could fail at any moment. Then once you get into later stages (like armor and weapons) it becomes more stable.

Maybe make the robot race as a byproduct of the Apocalypse that ended the world, where some self-aware super computer that launched all world nukes starting manufacturing robot and cyborgs to populate the world and remove the last reaming remnants of humanity and ... no wait, scratch that , its been done already in Terminator and wasteland.

Definitely!

I don't want to just be able to quickly make machines and make life easy or upgrade them in no time, it should take a decent a mount of time and not all upgrades should be just purchasable in stores you would need to go out and find them.

That kinda applies to everything if you ask me, even now research feels a bit too easy.

Honestly not too bad of an idea. But instead of making it a full blown faction, just have them be random bots wandering around possibly attacking whatever they come across.

Setting isn't post-apocalyptic, its an entirely different world. New world map will have over a dozen different biomes instead of just a desert.

Therefore in the Kenshi-verse, it is possible for a race of robots to already exist, either peacefully or violently, with all the other wildlife/civilization on this planet.
