I was thinking if Micro implications to buildings could be added. For example maybe there could be a small box at the bottom of the screen when you select a building which you could add things to that specific building.

Like a balcony to a house for 5 building materials, or a small watch tower to a police station for around the same amount. I think it helps buildings stand out from one another. Maybe there could small banners or flags on NPC buildings that are randomly generated.

Anyone else agree?

Saw a post just like this one on another thread. Will see if I can't find it.

Actually I would like this, but to take it one step further.

Add expandable buildings. Link doors on multiple smaller buildings to make them bigger. Or even have some base modular designs that can be linked to build the palace that you always wanted. Added turrets, balconies and flags as well.

What would be great is if we could upload a faction image and have that appear on our flags.

Although that topic is pertaining specifically to the ability to attach storage to crafting structures, whereas yours is on a much larger scale affecting potentially every building in the game.

Granted, we're never going to reach the 'Spore' level of adding as many additions as we would like, whenever we like, to any point on the model's mesh... unless Chris somehow pulls that hat out of his rabbit.

Man that's an old post. Well as much as I would like to see this option I'm reminded of the old dagger fall random Map generator which would some times let you slip threw a crack between two tunnel parts to your death. Wile this game has no fall damage, getting someone stuck between two buildings would be a pain in the arse.

I'd love to see turrets mounted on certain buildings, adding a military defense purpose if walls and gates are not enough to keep intruders away, especially once ranged skill is implemented. It will be a meshing and pathing nightmare on the downside. Outpost buildings have yet to have turret mount spots on the circular walkway while I have seen that they now have exterior light mount spots.

Pulling a hat from the rabbit, on the other hand... I can't guess where the hat will come from, specifically.
