If one of the member is engaged in combat.
If you are buzzy with a squad, you can't notice if one of your other squad is under attack.

This was actually already a thing for quite a while but i guess it broke during one of the updates.

Indeed it used to be a thing, and it was nice... Now all you can see is their portrait fade out after it's already too late, and you can't see any of that if you're not currently selected on the squad tab. It would be nice if the tab blinked lightly red when a unit in it was being attacked if currently weren't in that tab. I have had people die without me even knowing they had gone down 20 minutes ago...

There should also be a sound effect for when someone gets knocked out, like a gong or something, that way, if a fight is going south, you can know to send other people to either rescue them, or avenge them.

in 0.74.29 i noticed between two groups that the icon blinks a shaded red. indicating trouble with that group.
though i have not noticed a sound accompanied with it.

Haven't seen it flash since the new GUI.
It would be nice if a popup flashed up and warned you "Enemies Sighted by squad ?????" if that was not the selected squad.

As for a noise, a grunt or moan when a character is knocked out would be cool.
Or use the grunt for when they take a hit and the moan for when they pass out.

The big thing is that those sounds would have to carry over to when you are out of hearing range to be used as a warning that another squad is in a fight.
