Normally, I would just add this to my thread, but this one is so important that I feel that not having this option makes the game worse.

As soon as your KO timer ends, you should have the right click option to push yourself off of a character that is carrying you. This should be the case with every carried circumstance. Obviously, if you're unconscious, dying, etc., you shouldn't be able to do anything but if you're healthy, you should be able to get down. The cannibal/police can always beat you unconcious and pick you back up.

Lifter has the options: Pick Up, Put Down, Put in Prison, Put in Bed

Liftee should have the option to: Get Down (if conscious)

This fixes the scenario where a Leviathan beats you up and then a Cannibal comes and picks you up. Then she decides to never put you in a cage because she likes the way you feel on her shoulder.

This will also eliminate the scenario where you pick up a bandit and he becomes your willing shoulder buddy for couple months while you train your strength. If you want a shoulder buddy that bad hire one at the bar or use a corpse.

This is a related topic, so I'll attach it here:
A lifted individual should add their full weight (Them+their gear) to the encumbrance of the lifter. Let's just assume that every character weighs 70kg. This is already heavy enough that starting characters will be slowed to a speed of 11. But Kenshi is punishing and this would be accurate. Carrying someone for long distance is exhausting. Carrying a fully equipped soldier any significant distance is even more brutal. This might mean that before you carry a unit to the nearest town you might have to strip his armor off if time is urgent.

This sounds like a great idea, I would know considering every time I fight the police I am forced to be a shoulder buddy. However I believe to implement this you should have to go through the process like you were lock picking. It should put your strength against the guy who has you and subtract it. Your strength - enemy strength = struggle. The lower this value the harder it is and vice versa. I also think to give you a fair chance the enemy should become stunned for a short while allowing you to gain distance and not instantly become re-grabbed.

Love the idea though :D

Personally, i hope they give more ways to carry/escort people , than just carrying them. because in reality its not a very practical way to transport someone not only would it drain your stamina quicker. but in the event of an ambush you'd be a little screwed with 200lbs on your shoulder o.o since you probably wouldn't want to drop them ...if you needed them alive an they were injured o.o

What like a stretcher? Because that would be cool having a stretcher kit that takes 2 to use but drastically decreases the speed penalty. It would also be more convient as when you get into combat you can just place down stretcher. Also you could attach said stretcher to an animal or something to make transport easier.

Yep... like a stretcher ..though there are "stretcher" type things they used to use to move with one person. since this is somewhat post apocalyptic theres no reason it couldn't have wheels or something though wheels wouldn't work that great in the desert o.o

I see. You mean like a strecher that has like ropes that go over someone's shoulders allowing it use for one man? Because that sounds sweet however it would have to have downsides. Like the speed penalty is decreased but not by much as it's still only one guy hauling another's.
