Hey there, just found out about this game, and am quite excited to try it.
Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. As in, it won't run. "This program has stopped working" instantly.

I've managed to get a few different errors, all seem to be occurring in the Ogre engine, not exactly sure what the problem is, but, by checking the logs, the hang occurs when it tries to parse the "Examples.program" script.

Also generates some other errors within the Ogre.txt file (though none in error.txt)
Such as some of these:

14:11:10: OGRE EXCEPTION(2:InvalidParametersException): Parameter called worldviewproj does not exist. in GpuProgramParameters::_findNamedConstantDefinition at ..\src\OgreGpuProgram.cpp (line 1095)

14:11:10: Compiler error: invalid parameters in Sun.material(38): setting of constant failed

14:09:18: OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIException): Failed to create Direct3D9 Device: Invalid call in D3D9RenderWindow::createD3DResources at ..\src\OgreD3D9RenderWindow.cpp (line 597)

So, I guess I succeeded at crashing it ;)
I'm currently playing around to see if I can tweak it into working.
I'm looking forward to it. :)

Oh yeah, that system information thing could be useful.

Graphic card: nVidia Geforce GT 240M
Latest drivers and DirectX.

Intel Core2Duo processor (2.2ghz)
4gb ram

"Parsing script Examples.program" Is always the last line in the Ogre.txt log, if that's of any help...

What OS are you running? If Vista or later, you should install DirectX 9, even if you already have 10 ;).

Yeap, that was the problem, thanks SBLaxer, playing around with it now.

Don't know what that is, but for gamers your graphics card name should always begin with ATI or Nvidia. It ran okay on my old geforce 7800.

I guess I'm stuck with it because I have a laptop and people say that my laptop model is almost impossible to replace the video card.

Not until I find a help video or I will most likely break it on my own.

It sadly hasn't picked up enough popularity to have active boards.

But development continues no matter how quiet the site may be.

Better having quiet boards than having ones that are spammy.

Hi Chris and all,
Great to see this still going, I'll DL the demo soon, but having been offline for 9 long months now I've a few updates to get through first.

Just thought I would check in here to see any progress. Its so good to see this is not dead, keep up the great work and good luck.

Hi, Chris. I've returned! Sorry for poofing on you for so long, but been in college and it's been a tad time-consuming. It's good to see your progress on Kenshi, and I'm interested in trying it out, but your post says the download is currently down. v.v

I've upgraded my laptop to windows 7 ultimate 32-bit, still got the amd dual-core 2.0 ghz and 3 gb of ram with an on-board nvidia. Once the download's up, I'll check it out and see what I can report.

Hello, Oh Chris The Great, I am your new and lawful ally; Enigma Underclaoker.

As another form of greeting, I have here a "Scroll of Troubleshooting" that seems important to read. Now I must recite the magic words it contains:

"Demo temporarily unavailable due to web host problems"

....and yeah thats what it says over yonder when I'm going to download patch v0.12.3....

Oh Chris The Great, be vigilant in times of trouble like these because I'M EAGER TO PLAY YOUR COOL GAME.

(Sorry for my weird medieval-themed speaking(actually typing), I'm just trying to fit in since I'm new here)

Yes, when in new places you should always speak medieval, just to be safe.

Anyway I no longer have a copy of the old demo (or I cant find it). It wasn't very good anyway, there wasnt anything to do. You will have to be patient for the super new demo coming in a few months.
