I can't find where I read it, but I think Chris said that he would add purchase/rentable buildings in 0.40 if he felt like it. My feeling is that it will be after.

WOW! I never even knew that page existed, isn't that the one which gives you the updates, much like the home page, but it even has an INDEX FEATURE at the bottom to show you previous articles. Thank you, thank you so much for your time...

But when you actually sift through these articles you'll find that Chris mentioned that he intended to have current houses and shops buy-able for .40 however there hasn't been any mention of that since he initially mentioned the update, so that's why I asked the question about whether this had been incorporated yet?

I havn't said I don't believe it won't be added in, and I don't mind if it isn't in this update, I just wondered if it was...

I was merely asking as nothing else has been said about it since before 0.40 was just a concept for a update.

Anyway, am really excited for this new update as I won't have to be a violent faction now if I don't want to be.

The AI traders and civilians now actually shop around to buy food and drink in the towns. You can set your own town to be open to traders who will come by and buy stuff.
Also you can buy a building in an existing town now, and open a shop there, or just use it as a safehouse.

Sounds like it's already in the upcoming build.

Lets be honest, who cares WHEN the updates are released as long as all (or most) of the features are in that were promised? And done correctly of course. I personally wouldn't care how long it takes for an update like .40 to be released, since it will keep me occupied for a long time

I care a lot. The wait has been driving me crazy. I could spend my time waiting easier if we had a general estimate of the time it was going to come out around. I'm crossing my fingers that this couple of days isn't going to turn into another month but if it does hopefully more features can be crammed into the update.

I agree with this. The few days has been a week already. I'm going crazy checking the website multiple times every day and seeing no update, neither game update or an update as to when the patch will be released.
