I doubt you have proof to back up such a claim.
Well, if you manage to find a modern-day programming language for game developement in an old temple, I'd like to see it :)

As for the not handed by aliens..... weeeeeeelll... eh heh ^_^

Maybe it was :o
You're also discluding the idea that it was both. For all you know, Havok could be criminal charges from the IIPO (Intergalatic Intellectual Property Organization). But you know how large beaucracies are. They probably had to call a meeting to set up the meeting for when they'd review how to deal with the copyright violation. Specially since they already did before! They've been working with planetary governments for ages trying to remove all traces of the Summerian game systems and entertainment devices.

Which was entirely a violation of the rights of the summerians btw. Also was a complete destruction of history and culture. Now the Gilgamesh 64 is nothign but a myth.

Please note guys those were just simple questions and not meant to give a negative light on the project or anything. I like the game so much because of its scope and I'm just concerned about the length of time they're trying to wait for a bug that's not under their control (if memory serves, methinks they used the phrase "we can't access the files").

I hope everyone stays logical and not be infuriated. Peace.

"The answer to that would be that on the off chance a fix somehow ends up not being found, the dev team would switch over to another (probably open-source, to prevent further black-boxing) library. It would take a while to convert to the new library's interface, but then development would continue as normal.
As for the first question, only the Havok staff really knows how much time they're dedicating to this particular problem. But we can tell there is progress being made, since a partial fix has been made and it can be noted in how stable the game's gotten lately (at least, it has for me)."

"To be fair, this is the case for many games that use engines or any parts developed by others.

Kerbal Space Program had issues with the Unity engine for a considerable length of time. Even now their 64bit version is borked. The game itself seems fine."

"This gives me more confidence than less. Havock are a world renowned game development team. In terms of experience and skill, they are far more likely to squash a bug with their software than Lo-fi are (no offense Lo-fi, love the work).

In regards to time frame... yes, you are right it is taking along time. But i still prefer to remain positive."

^Probably the most logical replies on this thread. Thanks.

"Fact is that that part is not under your direct control, but you rely totally on Havoc.
Business wise this is a bad call, as you are now promising all kinds of fixes that need to be provided by a 3rd party."

^My concern
