i dont want to be rude or something but now that someone did a raffle, i see 2 new members doing their first post in the raffle, that is weird.

If im wrong im sorry, and welcome.

Now you see what i mean.

I guess it is up to the guy who is creating the thread to decide if he wants to look at members who are contributing on the forums and being active in this community. If he thinks that is important he might even decide to give those people and extra free entry in his raffle (double entry) as a reward.

Plus, this might even encourage the people who are only signing up for the raffle to participate in the forum community and get their post count up a bit.

(or maybe not. depends on the guy running it)

I dunno it might be a bad idea for some people to contribute to the forums (Which is why I only signed up now even though I have been lurking on the forums for quite a while now). Mostly because everyone has their own weird idea of what the game should be. Like me for example, I would probably contribute to adding more Roleplay into this game since that is what I enjoy a lot from games and that would probably break this game.

Heck if I had my way with RPG games there wouldn't be a red and blue bar deciding whether you are good or evil. There would be a freaking colorwheel with things like Chaotic Evil, Neutral Evil, Lawful Evil. Well you get the point?

Not to mention I get off the point really quickly (which I probably already did but didn't notice). Hah I tried to write a book once to see how I can hold out to write something normal Needless to say I never read anything that made that little sense

Oh well I guess I am just comparing most people to myself. I guess a lot of other people would contribute to this game in a meaningful way, and luckily the community for this game is rather sane... For now at least.

EDIT: If you are interested in what I wrote in my "book" I can copy paste it into the off-topic section of the forums. It would probably be an interesting non sensical read for a lot of people. And would contribute to my post count too.

Contribution is always good. I will admit my policy of reading every thread has been pushed to the limit recently. I might have to start being selective if people don't quiet down a bit.
Still, it has been fabulous for my post count. I am now the second most prolific poster in the forum, behind only the developer chris....and he has had about a year or 2 headstart on membership time.
(maybe I should cut back, this is getting out of hand)

As for your point of view...I guess that isn't quite my ideal game. Although some light roleplay potential is good and in other games I've enjoyed the good and evil concept. i just don't think it has much relevance to kenshi as a game.

Finally, your name is oddly familiar. What other forums do you use? Gnomoria? Haven & Hearth? Something else I can't think of?

Hah your picture is very familiar. I am on the Gnomoria forums although I havent posted in a while. But yeah I wish someone made an RP game in which there was a color wheel not a bar. Its more accurate that way. But some roleplay would only improve this game to be honest. Add more life. Nothing hardcore like a Alignment system though.

Are you saying the requirement is for every person to be on for at least 2 weeks or have 50 posts? Or is that just a way to distinguish the difference between "New Players" and "Old Players"? Although I guess its more of a way to see who is new to the forums and who is not. Since I am new to the forums (well I have been lurking for a while) but I have been playing the Demo for a long time so not really a new player.

As for the 5 day thing I can't really understand that. Within 5 days of what? Because if it is 5 days from now then I guess I will have to post my forum name and my real name like now instead of the end of the month

Anyways sorry for asking these questions but I can't understand who you are replying to and your English isn't very clear Anyways thanks a lot for doing the raffle.

Hahah Did you post it on accident? Well it's kay if you did ^_^ And I guess since I only got 1 entry I will wait till the end of the month. There is no way I am getting 41 posts any time soon unless I spam. Which I would rather not do.

But oh well I will just save up ^_^ Although it probably doesn't even matter if I save it or not and I probably wont win anyways. But oh well, can't blame a bloak for trying ^_^

EDIT: I am guessing you will edit the rules for getting 2 submissions into the main post so everyone can see it? Something like

Condition for 2 submissions: 2 weeks on the forums or having 50 posts.

I'm writing down names in a word doc. as It goes those with specifications get two names in it and what not.

reason I want the forum name placed in the entry, is so I can with easy copy and paste the entry into a word doc.

And I joined yestrday, and already 31 posts

Word doc ehy? Will you then write them on a piece of paper stick them to a wall and throw darts at them to determine a winner Or will you put them in a hat and take out a random one? (The normal boring way. If you don't have darts I am sure you have knives somewhere in your house.)

Nice initiative. You could post this in other gamerforums to attract people here (with a link to this post for example).
Also maybe You should have used rafflecopter.
I've been doing some personal raffles since i often get free games (that i already bought before -_-) and rafflecopter is a software that helped a lot in doing that. It also allows you to have more then one entry for each participant with some kind of options menu which is nice. It has a deadline thing and can automatically choose winners (at random) at the end of the raffle. Quite nice.
