Lo-Fi Games

Ive seen some serious stuff in this game. Ive seen emotional victories that make me feel invincible, and Ive seen crushing defeats that make me feel like Ive never played a game before....

Both extremes of these scenarios have made me think, and made me wonder...Chris. My man. Ive been a DM since 7th grade...so about 1988, and I know that one of the key parts of telling a story in a situation that successfully situates gaming, is leaving things vague, leaves enough to the imagination, or guessed at, to where the players feel like they are creating the story, as opposed to just drifting along inside of it.

That being said, I have felt this way enough inside of your game to where I have had the urge to write....a lot, about my characters experiences in the ambiguous (moon?) world of Kenshi....But I dont want to do it without a semi blessing. If you can find time to message me, or have someone who works for you message me, about some of the finer points of the world lore, I would love it. I know what I want to write, but I dont want any of it to conflict with the vision you have for your world. We could make something great. I dont do a lot well, but stories, man, Ive got them in spades. Youve created the template, let me help you Bob Ross them into the happy little accidents that Kenshi generates by its very existence.

I like how you write, even just in that short message ; if I was part of the team, I'd have given the green light in a heartbeat! I hope they end up endorsing you, because I'd like to read your stories.

Well, I appreciate what you said, truly. I made that post while drunk off my ass, which in consequentially when I do most of my internet socialization.....I personally feel that I should be banned from typing when drunk, but Big Brother here in america hasnt quite gotten there just yet.

Still, the fact holds that this game has, whether intentionally or unintentionally, awakened the bards spark in me. Ive logged damned near 200 hours in the last month inside of it, because it is inspiring. If no one official answers me, and tells me things that i cannot find on the reddit kenshi lore thread, then I may just jump on it any fucking way, and find a place to upload......and I cringe to say the word, fanfic. If I cannot get solid information on ht the world *is*, then I may make it up for myself, based on what my characters have experienced and felt. The gods know that guesses and creation of lore are almost as powerful as reality, an have shaped the reality of our world. Imaginary friends without proof, but backed up by martial might, are as telling as truth. We make our own truth when left within a dearth of shadow and ambiguity. So if my cadre of workers and warriors see truth in a thing, who is to say that that isnt truth? If Chris is a genius, ths may have been his plan.....but he may be going the George Lucas route.....put the canvas down, and let everyone else do the work, and he sucks up all the great ideas and insists that they were his all along......which is also a genius kind of storytelling.

Regardless, Kenshi is brilliant, and Im glad I have gotten in on the ground floor of something that could potentially be as great as Westeros.
