I swear I just saw a movie based off of Kenshi LOL
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1693679/
check that out, its called Hirokin: The Last Samurai
its pretty bad ass IMO.
The coolest thing it has, is some genetic mysticism called the way which got me thinking, in the later versions of kenshi, will you have perhaps different peoples and cultures? With maybe like bushido?
It would also be cool if we can eventually have designated areas, for training. And sit one of our units in these areas and SPECIFY EXACTLY how they should train people. Maybe have special dojos and what have you.
Maybe even competing dojo schools where you must send a student from your school to compete in a grand tournament in the capital.
So I hope you expand on the UI so its easier to keep track and also is capable of creating custom groups so you could have tabs for each of your units. (custom tabs).
So investing in UI customization would be sick!
Well this was mostly about awesome, have a great night!!!
Mysticism in Kenshi?
I dont hate the idea of having styles and advantages to specific groups then them having a school to work with them. It sounds like something that would have to came much later and much more would have to be redone in the way of combat to fit in most of the idea.
I do think it would be plausible to have schools that you can train students in and tournaments you and your students could compete in, however as for the style itself I think too much of the game would have to be re-done to work. to expand the idea you might want to have random other schools come by your school and challenge you and your students from time to time to keep things interesting. maybe have a sort of school fame system to attract better dojos.
having higher dojo fame could also bring trade to your own personal little town much like how college towns work. caravans might want to set up shop near you and you could charge them tax to do so.
in a sense i could see this idea working for the most part. I like it

I see this as a very interesting strategic part of the game also. Not only other dojos, but maybe even other factions might challenge your best fighter to a duel against theirs, and the winner shall decide what will happen. So instead of just flat out war with all your troops defending your town against another factions troops, we could settle our differences with something similar to an arena match. It would be awesome and very nerdgasmic
to see my most skilled fighter duel a mighty opponent with my men and my opponents troops watching, shouting cheering words to their factions fighter!
