Would be cool if we had cattle, or some other sort of animal. We could truly be a sort of samurai-inspired cowboy, or some-other-sort-of-animal-boy.

I can see the western, but what struck me most was a borderlands 1 theme, with the slow wind turbines and the music even

Im not so sure the world of kenshi's apocalypse was nuclear, i'd expect a few more folks with extra arms around.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who made that connection. To me, those blast doors practically SCREAM Fallout. :D

I can't believe this, it hasn't been said that it was post-apoc. Honestly, I think it's better we have a non-apocalyptic game with GREAT fallout inspiration, save for the background and the whole "YOU MUST STEAL ADITIONAL PETROL" being the excuse of the apocalypse. At least, make it made of unknown reasons or because of a disease or global warming, many great games - both flash and that cost money - use thoose backgrounds, like caravaneer (it uses global warming) or gun nomads (uses disease). At least, that. Also naysayers gonna naysay about my huge and SUPER SEXY block of text.

He's right, Chris never said it was set in a post-apocalyptic setting. :)

It feels that way to me, though. I quite like the idea, myself. It's really interesting to combine Post-Apocalyptic, Shogun and Steampunk settings, and have it work out so well (in my opinion).

If it's not post-apocalyptic, it's definitely Desert Punk at the present moment, which is close enough.

Quite a wonderful trailer. I'm glad I got my new computer around the time it appeared.

If you watch the interview you would hear him say that he's taking what he likes of everything and putting it all together... And somehow making it work, he's freaking brilliant if you ask me! :P
