So I'm not much of an attention whore, I say the second I start becoming one.
I love this game, and I was toying around with writing about games for a long time now.
Thus I decided to start a blog yesterday, which is currently pretty shitty. I had 1 whole view, and I had to ask the person to view it first.
I posted an article on Kenshi, and I want some opinions from you guys.

I made an article about Kenshi
Well, I gave it +1 view. Although you had to ask me to do it as well. Will be back when I finish reading it.
EDIT: A nice read. I have no specific criticisms to hurl at you despite trying to find some. =)
If I were to say one thing though, it is that you are speaking too much from a current players perspective in that your blog focus seems to be on people who are unaware of the game BUT you spend much time speaking only about the current test patch and very little to no time speaking about anything specific that is already in the game. Mentioning the character customisation, variety of fighting styles both current and planned as well as some of the stats and skill growth along with the core ethos of the game being that you are 'just another dude' with no special powers or anything.
Otherwise, nice piece of writing. Definitely keep this forum thread going with links when you decide to write some other things (kenshi related or not) so I can remember to check back there. I think you might do well.

A well-written review, considering there isn't too much to the game yet! But I'm interested in your opinions on other games as well! When will you be writing more articles! What will be the targets of your future articles!
Old Man Liver states: "Everything Old Man Liver says is a lie!". Is he telling the truth?
I've played simcity just a few days ago, simcity 4 mind you.
This new one looks like a typical EA game: too easy, too fast, forced internet connection to play, even worse, you are forced to save your game online... and even if there are a few new gimmicks, seriously who will use the curved roads? especially on that small map...
I've had the luck to play the beta beforehand which allowed me to make an informed pass up on this one.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.
Need help? pm me or any other mod.
Lucky guy. Unfortunately, the franchise has had a strangle-hold on me, up until now. So I had pre-ordered that sucker already since last fall. Shame on me, for doing that. No more pre-orders for me.1337 wrote:I've played simcity just a few days ago, simcity 4 mind you.

The thing is, the game is not even that bad; it's just not a good Sim City anymore (I have high standards for something that calls itself "Sim City").

They say they wanted to make the maps avaiable for most computers. Let's face it, this should be for NORMAL computers, not thoose who are in promotion for 400$ at IKEA. Honestly, EA never ends making me scream in frustration, like if the endless DLCs weren't enough. In fact, I bet that one day they will make a DLC that solves glitches and bugs

I find this amusing. Not you specifically, but the way that the industry is turning so many people away, gradually, from preorders. They are abusing their customers and people are taking it....to a point. Slowly they are beginning to lose customers. I wonder when the preorder thing will collapse...if ever?
Also, I think I am too drunk. I just beat my mate up with a salami.

Yeah, the industry has turned ugly lately. I guess I started noticing it at around the year 2000. And it became more and more. Internet made devs lazy, as they could always "patch it later". This seems to be the standard principle today.Blxz wrote:Pain wrote: No more pre-orders for me.

Look for example at Paradox. I actually love their games, but they are almost always buggy at release. And by that I mean major-gamebreaker-buggy. SOTS2 is a prime example of bad decisions, releasing anyways (even though they knew, it was broken almost beyond repair) and still patching regularly after 1 year of release!
And then there is the ever feared EA. I've actually had it with this company, and I'm glad some big ex-EA employees (mostly from the long defunct Origin) are going indie.
Also, the salami thing sounds hilarious.

LOL, I enjoyed your unrelated salami story. We need more of that in here.Blxz wrote:Aww jeez, I posted here too.![]()
I'll be a little more mindful in the future. I'm not really a fan of reading other peoples drunk posts and now I've broken my golden rule... several times it seems. Shame on me.
