Yeah thats right, smaller groups will get more experienced. It also affects personality, a solo character will become a lone wolf and work better alone, not so well with others. As a team works together they start to glue and have better teamwork. Thats the idea anyway.

Yes to all. That's the essence of what I want to create with this game is that you can play it how you want. So you can try a large group, who wont be as strong individually and you will take losses more often, or a small elite group. You can make one strong guy and then give him an army of followers, or you can do the opposite, start off with a large army, end up with one lucky survivor and make him the strongest man in the world.
So the flexibility is there to do what you want, and make your own story. I am not yet sure the exact method of recruitment yet, just that you will be able to recruit throughout the game, both pre-made NPCs and custom characters.
Likely a lot of it will come from rescuing people who then choose to join you, or for evil types maybe defectors from other sides attracted by your fame, also by just chatting up certain NPCs.

No, hopefully the game will be commercially released. If it was free I would remain poor forever and there would be no sequel, and I would never be able to make the other, even more awesome games that I want to make.
There may be demos, but like I said in another thread, not till at least 2010 I'm afraid. Bear with it! Grit your teeth!

Yeah, until I'm happy enough with it that I can move onto my next game. Which, I might add, will make Kenshi look like space invaders.
Ha yea too true ;p
