Locked Doors and Shops

So, I noticed that shop doors are locked. I really need to go inside to by stuff, but the guards will kick my butt if they catch me. Is there some sort of time schedule of closed shops?

left click on door
left lower panel click open.
that will open the doors.
as for hours. never heard of anything like that being added to the game.
