Will turrets be like the ones on whalers (like the harpoon cannon they have) or they will be something like scorpio and/or polybolos?
Maybe all of them?

Sorry if this isn't the correct forum....

Correct forum for just discussing. I was personally thinking like a giant crossbow that fires large wooden stakes, maybe with metal tips.

If you wanna get mean then you start using the type with ropes, so you can haul them part way up the wall for your men to use as a piñata. Those unfortunately can make it easier for your walls to be scaled though.

Highest end could be the kind with a small explosive in the tips, but unfortunately those aren't very retrievable.

As long as they visually impale a target, possibly pinning them to the ground or structures, I'll be happy.

I too enjoy watching arrow type projectiles impale and stick into people/objects. And hope this will be in the game. Watching a guy take multiple arrows from my archers and have them protrude from where they hit is so satisfying. Games where I try an archer character and shoot arrows and they just disappear after hitting makes me stop playing that character. So disappointing.

I didn't see that picture (looks awesome) but.....is that the only type of turret? I suppose this will be high damage and low fire rate turret. Will there be "low-mid damage" and fast fire+low accuracy (like polybolos) and high damage very low fire rate+high accuracy (like scorpio) turrets?
Will they be static, "mobile" (dismount and carry it like a backpack) or mobile (with wheels)?
