2 might it be possible for chris or someone to put chrimbo version in some way other than steam, as i dont like steam but would love to try the game (as a fully paid up devotee) , of course so i can use my key(s) to play full version (so far).

I think he means that he wants to play the next unstable update immediately without using Steam.
Don't worry shaogul. After a week or 2 it will be pushed to stable (still before christmas) so you don't have to use Steam.

U cant download stable version that is the most up to date version from anywhere far as i knows exept for evil steam!!!

Hu? 0.67.2 is the most up to date stable version at the moment and you can download it without using Steam
The big unstable update is still to come! (Most likely tomorrow)
