Update is due today and is currently in the process of uploading to steam.

This is an experimental only version so we can test out the majority of bugs before its full release before christmas. or sooner depending.

This is only available thru steam opt in experimental version.
how to opt in is located here.

You will be able to import your old game to the new version.

there has been a delay with some issues getting the update to steam.

the new crashes and a lot of bugs are unknown but being discovered
please upload any crashdump.zip files you get.

I'm not getting them in a .zip file, so i pack them myself. will that be an issue?

Also, can we get a thread where we can just say the funny things that we encounter? Like, i got locked in a trader's shop after he fail'd to kick me out. When i want to do business he promptly sais " how did you get in here ?!"

I've resorted to lockpicking his door, he doesn't seem to mind my so far 4 fail'd attempts.

(noob alert) So, how exactly do we switch to 64 bit, or is an auto upgrade if you have? in the options at the starting box(b4 you launch the game) where you pick your resolution it has 32 after it, is that it? cus the only options I have there are 32 ones(and i have a 64 bit system)

its auto when you're using the experimental version. it won't launch under 32bit.

500 megs is steep. I may have to wait.

Quick question though. Apparently this uses Havok for the pathfinding...or something. Does this fix the bug where if you have a fully walled location with a gate, and lock the gate with a character outside of the enclosure, they refuse to move without unlocking the gate? it's a little hard to protect my little encampment from 30 Hungry Bandits when one of my characters insists on leaving the door wide open (he's obviously a Hungry Bandits spy).

...spies would be awesome actually. But anyway. Does this fix that pathfinding issue? As well as the memory leak?

memory leak appears to be fixed for 64 bit version.
Pathing is still an issue and i don't know about the gates yet.
my city don't have one.

looking at the bug reports will give you a better idea.
