That is all.
Hey Kenshi Developers...
On behalf of Mr Deathbeard... thanks!
I guess this should be the correct thread!
After reading the recent updates and announcements, I just want to say thank you for all the hard works the dev have done to give us this wonderful game! Sure it's still not finish, and the wait for updates is quite painful(only because I want to keep playing and see newer things), but this is definitely one of the best purchase I made on Steam. Started at around 0.57, and it's already so much better now in 0.72! It's an ambitious game by a small team, it's like my dream game being realized. Can't wait till it's finished! Usually as a consumer I expected thanks from the seller, but this time I must also say thanks to the dev. THANKS!!!

Kenshi has been a long hard journey for a lot of people, both dev, player, and everyone else involved. But watching Kenshi and it's community grow over the months, and years has helped us all learn quite a bit. When Kenshi is finished, it's going to be one of those things that has a lot of stories to be told of, both good and bad. And it will definitely be an example that not every game is straight up business and money. If this game takes another 3 years, so be it. At least it's not a game that has suffered through casualization and meeting the market over the quality of an indi dev's desire to produce something through a passion. Back to the old days when games were unique, full of depth, and weren't just conjured up with "What will sell well?" in mind.
Kenshi has a lot to offer in those regards, and it has features and concepts that games nowadays lack due casualizations and generic approval. Even if this game does not become "The next big thing!", I do not care. goty and popularity is overrated anyway, as the general society lacks the understanding of what makes a good game a truly good game.
I've been gaming for over 20 years now. It's been pretty much something I have done nearly every day of my life. Countless games, going from one to the next due to the inability to stay interested in one single game long enough to have multi-k hours. This - at least for me, somehow manages to keep me with it, even at it's current state. It's buggy, and can be frustrating, but it's still worth it. It's enjoyable, it's a game worth continuing to support to the end, and I have no doubt it can and will be done
Thank you lofi for bringing us this gem of a game.

is as thankful as Lumi is.
I been gaming a bit longer, more or less since 1985 and have seen tens of thousands of games come and go. few are still with me in my library or even still playable on current machines. Most games i have i never finish as i get bored with them or it becomes sure to me that i already won the game. think i was complaining to my girlfriend at the time about this and she pointed out to me a couple indie games. before this i had not delved into the indie game scene.
She had pointed out two games for me to try. one was Kerbal Space Program, which i bought and enjoyed since i love anything space related. ( even more so when they go into detail everything it took to even get to outer space in the first place ) and the second game was Kenshi.
Kenshi will definitely stay with me for a long time to come, and be one of the few that i will keep playing throughout the years, mostly just because i can do what i want, use my imagination and never worry about winning the game.
Kenshi was also the first game ( besides Second life but thats different ) where i took the pains to learn how to mod it. not to mention it was my first game i actually wanted to make a video about. only two games have inspired me to do that recently, Kenshi first and Life is Feudal: Your Own second.
Kenshi is also the only game where i have actually donated extra money to. even bought perks so as to get my namesake into the game, first time i ever did that and most likely the only one i will ever do that with. only other game to have my name ( Alias ) in the credits is ESO but thats because i was one of the 2nd row of invites to the beta.
Thanks Devs as this game had KSP have made me open my eyes upto Indie companies as for the next place to buy most my games from. ( long as i research them first for the ones that give the honest indie developers a bad name )
Thank you Devs
Now where is that new map????
hehehe
