Joining AI Factions

I remember seeing way back that the devs were planning on letting you join the AI armies but haven't seen any mention of it recently. It would make for a great early game option to get started but I can see why it wouldn't make into the final game. I was hoping for at least something similar to Warband where the AI would pay you to fight for them as mercs.

factions are still a WIP. as is being able to eventually join one.

Yeah I figured that wouldn't make it in until the dialogue was finished, I just wasn't sure if the idea was abandoned.
