If I download Kenshi now will any new updates act like patches rather than an entire redownload of the updated game? I only ask because my downloads are limited so I have to prioritise things.

it will just be update sized, not entire game sized.
Kenshi usually updates with 50 megs or less. with rare occasions of it being higher.

Speaking of updating, gonna hijack your thread real quick.

Is anyone else unable to play through steam because the update download times out?
Tried switching to different download regions, but no luck. Can't update, can't play.

-Changing the download region involves a restart, so I did that about 5 times. :\-

Aand one more seems to have done it. Alrighty. Selecting the experimental under beta settings might have affected it, but just as likely it didn't.

Or, no, it didn't. It just decided it needed to redownload most of the 2.3gb & then stalled again.
Restarted computer, didn't fix, just deleted local data & am redownloading.

that would be a steam issue

try restarting your computer as well and if it still doesnt work,
send in a support ticket to Steam

Welp, been troubleshooting it, working on a steam ticket.

Making a new post instead of more edits to let you know- got into the game by exiting out of steam, going to Steam\SteamApps\downloading\233860 and running it from there.
Stuck with 0.74.32, but it's better than being completely locked out of a game I just bought.
