The Lore of Kenshi is curiosity-inducing

Recently read the post on the first Lore, and looks like I have a first major faction to watch my back on the future versions with faction relations additions, since their ideals clashes with the ideals my saved factions go for. So long as the faction doesn't have beef with our units, I don't have beef with them, either.

I tend to lean more into being a lone wanderer growing into a Private Military Corporation (PMC) in the game, not bound by nation, species, or ideology, but land for mercenaries to call as their home. When those mission mechanics are up, I can come up with faction building strategies to maintain diplomacy with any faction willing to pay us. Would prefer finishing contracts before going for missions against the previous contractors first, though; I have standards.

Anyone have their thoughts on the Holy Nation now that their backgrounds are fleshed out?

I really like how they set up the first faction. I'm excited for future releases and hope they keep with various factions having true pro's and con's rather than black/white.

Ohmigod. I'm going all white-girl over this lore, and it kind of explains some of the gender percentages and race percentages stuck around in the FCS.

I'm incredibly excited to see where this goes, and how I can attempt to compliment the game and lore with mods when this is more fleshed out.

On the other hand, I wish they'd saved it all for the map release and launched it all en masse. Would've been BLEEP-ing amazing that way.

It makes sense for mine too, as cats are a trickster animal, and the Nekuman would then likely be considered the servents of Narko, regardless of whether or not they actually are. Though, the presence of more feral variations would certainly not help their attempts to convince people they have no relation to Narko.

I'd always kind of assumed every major group in Kenshi was inherently evil. How else do you survive in a desert wasteland?

Holy Nation - Religious, militant zealots

United Cities - Feudal system dominated by Samurai tyrants.

Dead Cat - Cutthroat Merchants Guild that'll consider any option with profit potential.

The lore post kinda reaffirmed the make believe world I was running around in for me. A little back story is nice.
