Had to ask since it's the alpha-funding we are talking here

.
Are the game sources properly backed up in some external location so that the risks of losing development progress due to the hardware failure\computer loss are minimized?

They got their laptops stolen. Which sat them back for a while, but they did have an online save, so they recovered, but well the backup was some way off.

all my code is backed up remotely, i would lose a few days work at most. I might lose some art files, but nothing critical.

Project zombie. The devs had there laptops stolen in turn losing their files and code. Set them back a few months. They seem to have recovered though.

Zomboid is a very odd company, it like they end up for every bad thing possible... Which is very odd, but then again who leaves thier laptop in a car? Thought people didn't even leave thier wallets in cars because risk of it getting stolen.
atleast not so it can be visible seen.

It wasn't the car, it was the Newcastle flat where the Devs live and work that was burgled (burglered?

)

It makes me truly relieved that every time I come to this website there is some kind of progress report that wasn't there the previous time. Whereas each month I go check out project zomboid to find another half assed excuse why the next update is going to be delayed for the 12th time.
Either the developers of project Z are amateur and it takes forever to do nothing, their engine is super hard to code, or they truly don't care. Enough ranting though, as I said previously it's awesome that things are moving forward with this game. Gj
