anyone have an idea when the next update will come out?

Do you mean the next stable? We're getting nearly daily hotfixes right now on the experimental version.

I mean like the next map update when we get to see more.

they haven't posted any information on it yet.
so we dont know.

being how massive the map is and how ambitious and detail this game is its safe assume at the very least we will see more over the next year or so. Small development with with a finite budget homie. they are largely relying in the players to test. expect it to be a slow and steady pace to win the race. The map we have now is larger than the old place holder with tons of new content that will need tweaking. I haven't seen nearly everything there is on the current map.
