If you deliver the Bugmaster to Bayan and then talk to Esata, she gives you a speech, a nickname, and then is supposed to give you Seto, her daughter, to join your adventures.
Currently there is an issue, which seems to have persisted for a while now, where she gives you the nickname, but won't trigger further conversation to give you Seto.
Thankfully, there's a fix for this from Shidan https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1344278977
But I only knew to look for this fix because I knew beforehand that delivering the Bugmaster should reward me with Seto. This is more of a problem for people that aren't already aware of this, and thus won't pay attention to this issue.
I hope this gets resolved soon.
___________
Additional note:
When you deliver Bugmaster to Bayan, instead of him putting him in a cage, Bayan instead decides to "remove intruders", and does so by just dropping the Bugmaster on the front porch. Way to dismiss your clan's mortal enemy, Bayan. Well done.
[0.98.29] Esata/Seto issue still unresolved
And just so that the information is here as well. From the tests I performed while making the mod, it seems to be due to the fact that characters cannot trigger a crowd trigger on themselves, even when set to trigger on 100% of the squad. Everyone else seems to be triggering fine currently, but the speaker doesn't seem to have it trigger.
I am unsure if this is related.
But while I was in Admag, I recruited a female Shek named Seto from the bar.
I also went to talk to Esata who just goes: Hurmpf, and then Bayan calls me upstairs to explain why
.
The thing is, that I have not killed the Bugmaster, I'm just in the beginning, and Esata and Bayan has the proper dialog for where I am in the story.
So could it be, that Seto is now just recruited like a normal NPC?
Or are there just more Shek with the same name?
I have seen "Flashbox" more than once, and I haven't imported the game.

"Seto" can be a generic name to, so as "Flashbox" (there is no unique NPC with this name, there is?).Menace wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 6:16 pmI am unsure if this is related.

I personally had all the dialogue triggers when turning Bugmaster and recruited Seto without problems, but was in 0.98.15 I guess (don't remember exactly what experimental was, but was before they nerf the unique NPCs). When the bug happen they (all the shek, not only in the delivery scene) still call you Battleborn/kin or all the quest is broken now? In my case they also put him in a cage (one time in the prison, other in the cages around the place where Esata is).
As far as I know the bug didn't exist before the crossbow and dismemberment update.Kwikwilyaqa wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 8:54 pmI personally had all the dialogue triggers when turning Bugmaster and recruited Seto without problems, but was in 0.98.15 I guess (don't remember exactly what experimental was, but was before they nerf the unique NPCs). I don't know when exactly the quest broke, but I noticed it on patch 0.98.29
Yes, you get the nickname. The dialogue breaks after that, when she's supposed to tell you to take her daughter (Seto) to train her. She doesn't.
