Thats a graphics card problem. What is your graphics card? Try updating the drivers. Turn off rgb gamma correction in the settings.

Its not something I can really control, it is almost certainly related to the video card drivers, possibly even overheating or overclocking. You could try underclocking it slightly, that could have an effect.

Funny thing, I never changed the clockspeed of my card. Wasn't game to.

Am downloading the current drivers for my card and will tell you the results.

Hi all!,

I experience these very same graphical glitches.
I can't get rid of them. I tried everything suggested in the forum.
The game is Registered and updated to 0.22. Bought on Gamersgate.
I have a Nvidia GTX460, driver updated. No overclock, no overheating issue. I don't have any problem with other games. Any suggestions anyone?

Good work on the game btw.

try these 2 things:
DirectX Diagnostic Tool - This is the graphics and sound diagnostic tool that is provided by DirectX, which is installed on every computer running a version of Windows. You can discover the version of DirectX that is installed by running it. To open it, enter dxdiag in the Start => Run box in Windows XP, in the Start => Start Search box in Windows Vista and the Start => Search programs and files box in Windows 7. Note that the control panel for most graphics cards - accessed from the Windows Control Panel and/or under Start => All Programs (XP/Vista/7) - provides a graphics-card diagnostic program other than the Control Panel => Display item that controls the display settings.

Furmark GPU Stress Test - If your graphics card appears to be giving problems, you can stress-test it with this free utility. Install the tool and run a time-based benchmark for about 500,000 milliseconds (5 minutes), which should produce enough stress to produce a crash if the graphics card is faulty. - http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

I've got a Nvidia GTS 450 with updated drivers and directx. I'm also getting this ugly background since 0.21.6. I'm only getting this with Kenshi. Not overclock or overheating (other games or apps run fine). Tried fixes found in the forum like activating vsync, window mode but it didn't work.
