This one I tested this : I paused the game for about 3 hours and let it be iddle in my PC.
Then I returned and played until another crash. It seems the paused moments add nothing to the problem, and the time until crash is pretty much the same.

that description is the super crash.
its a memory leak thats in the game at the moment.
you can easily track this via task manager and in windowed mode and set it up so you can watch the memory usage of Kenshi. ( windowed mode is harder on your system. so you mite have shorter play times. but is good way to watch ram usage before super crash happens. )
on a 64bit OS system the upper ram usage is around 3.7gb to 3.8gb, anything past that, and the game will crash.
on 32bit systems that threshold will be a lot lower because 32bit OS systems can only use 4gb of ram.
pausing the game will slow the memory leak to a near crawl, but it will still eventually crash.
I have personally tested this with several different ways to reduce ram usage and effects of the memory leak.
1. Small player created groups have less of an issue with memory leak then larger player character groups do.
2.Player created outposts can have a huge impact on memory leak. the larger the outpost the larger the memory leak. NPC towns also impact this but not to such an extent as does player created ones.
3. World population and NPC pop slider. the higher you have this set, the worse the memory leak is.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

So... What should I do? Would you guys want me to investigate this memory leak by looking at my task manager and the processes? That's it?Hatsune_Neko wrote:that description is the super crash.

In the name of Stannis Baratheon, the true king of Westeros, I hereby declare that Kenshi, an unique game with very creative elements, both in the gameplay as in the design as well the world itself which is being made on, isn't crashing anymore.
The squad count is : 19 members
Fought inumerous bandits, ninjas and cannibals along the way
Did not build any structure of any nature
Visited more than 3 cities
Slept on more than a single time
The OS was changed from 32 bits to 64. Check signature for exact RAM count.
