Lo-Fi Games

I'm having difficulty trying to restore a save file I've had on Kenshi which has the most progress for me. I had split my party up into two separate groups that were spread over a large distance when I last saved (admittedly, this is still a rather old save file -- Haven't played recently at all). I then copied the save folder out and put it into a backup folder and made a new save to play around with modding. Afterwards, I set Kenshi back to vanilla and deleted the modded save folder and replaced it with my backup. Upon trying to load the save, it ends up refusing to load up my squad (instead giving me a game with no squad whatsoever), and trying to import the squad into a new game results in a crash.

I've checked the files inside (namely the Nameless platoon file) and saw that my squad members still exist -- I just can't get to them anymore! I've uploaded both the crash and the save folder that contains my squad.

I can use an older save of the same squad (minus about 5-6 of the members total) which works fine, but this one simply cannot work.

Ok, I will fix your savegame don't worry (or the bug that causes it).

Ok thats really strange. Both the save file and the player squad file are blanked, like they've been formatted or something. If you open it up in notepad or something its just blank.

How did you open the nameless.platoon file? Was it notepad? Maybe you damaged it before sending it to me or something.

Oh, that is weird. The Nameless file in the current folder still has the squad, but the quicksave -is- completely blanked out. I used Notepad++ to view the file, both Nameless files in the quicksave folder and the current folder.

Its been some time since I last loaded up Kenshi, so I don't know if I did damage the file or not. I hope not, but... =(

send me the nameless.platoon again, i may get a non-blank one

Here you go -- Checked it myself, if this comes up blank on your end, then I'll just be confused.

ok, that one is ok. looks like i'll need the quick.save file too. Do you have one that isn't blank?

After looking, it turns out, I do not. I'm not sure how I managed to do that...

If its unrecoverable, its alright -- Sucks, but I can start over I suppose. Thank you for such rapid response though!
