Updating to the latest version is always necessary to ensure you get all the fixes. Simply connecting to the internet before you run Kenshi will update it. Hovering over the Kenshi tab in the taskbar will show you what patch you're currently running on.

I am running into a crash when using the world editor under the following conditions:
1) once items are placed (ie: walls) and I hit save
2) any attempt to remove old buildings (before hitting save)

Also, it appears that after using the world editor (including the crash), the buildings I have built have become static. When I try and do a squad import without my buildings, they remain and still show as belonging to me. Aside from reinstalling, is there an easier way to reset the map?

Great game, by the way. Has a lot of potential.

A few crashes I found were as follows:

1. upgrading a training dummy when someone was using it.

2. switching backpacks when there is no room in my main inventory for the backpack being replaced.
Thats about it so far

I have had the same issues, except it was my towns i had built with my squad. Two towns, one near Brink and one near Souht Port.
I also started a new game. only to find out that the building where still there with everything i had stored in the storage boxes with the previous squad amounts to having stored about 600,000 in c.'s when i sold them.
One i did on perpouse, cause iw as playing with having low walls. ( i know bad idea right now :P )
the other one was on accident. accidently hit shift F12 whil was doing toerh things. and it saved that city as well, now its in the restarts.
It hasnt caused any bugs, except that my game now loads notacbly slower
