Can't recruit Jewel v.0.98.62

In Clownsteady, I found Jewel and asked her to cook for me and other options as well. She says it'll cost 6,000 and I say fine and I'm 6000 poorer but Jewel just goes over and sits down, without showing up in any of my squads or taking any orders from me. So, I ask again with the same result.

I tried to attach a quicksave.zip but at 113 Mb the forum reports it is too large and will not allow it.

I don't know if it's your case, but in an older build if you reach the limit in recruits there was a bug like this.

Yes, that sounds like you reached the maximum of 30 characters. I had this problem, too.
There is no message ingame. The character takes the money but keeps on sitting there.
