I already completed the Crab Tournament and became allied with Crab Raiders. Then there was a visiting Caravan headed towards my base. Then Crab Raiders happen to pass by them and...suddenly I see them declare a "Crab Tournament" and the event was added to my faction event tab. I thought they're gonna do a Crab Tournament again at my base, only this time that I'd be fighting them with them being marked as allies (and potentially nullifying the alliance). But when I thought I prepared, it turns out that they're holding the Tournament...at an NPC city. And it where my long distance armor crafters were in.

Is the Crab Tournament supposed to be working fine as it is? Crab Tournament for players only? Or does it apply for NPC factions as well?

Definitely not intentional, but yeah I can see how this happens. The dialog that triggers it has a check for if they're in a player town, but fails to actually make sure the target they're looking at is a player character, which can cause it to trigger for NPCs factions if they're visiting at the same time.

Amusing. Though I've no idea how it will progress.

Hmm... I think I remember this happening before. Probably one or two years ago. It happened at Black Scratch instead. I'm not sure but the NPC Town Crab Tournament may have possibly stopped at Round Two, then the town guards got wrecked. After that the Preliminary rounds began and the town was in an endless loop, until they failed the preliminary round by chance.
