I have been playing 0.39 with little to no problem since it has come out until now. Sometimes the game crashes on startup. Now when I load the game I get crazy artifacts all over my screen, it doesn't crash though. When I play 0.29 it behaves, including all other games currently on my machine. Now I try importing and even a new game all together included with a clean installation and still the problem persists.

SUCCESS!!! After a lot of research and tweaking I have found a solution that has worked for me. So stupidly obvious it was a matter of simply lowering the graphic settings. My speculation is that my card was just overwhelmed, the new lighting system and awesome shadows probably adds an extremely higher load on the graphic unit. This seems weird at first because my first fear was a dying card; so a tried a much more graphic intense game such as Crysis 2, or Shogun 2, but they worked fine.

If you are reading this Chris, my apologies for over looking a simple fix, but in turn I would point the finger at maybe some streamlining the new lighting system.

Oh, and I noticed some times that the program _core.exe sometimes doesn't end when I exit the game and continues to use vast amounts of resources until ended through task manager.
