Okay, found another bug, not a crippling one, but annoying so ill put it up.
Okay, so, you know with the low tech worker-required stone processor, once the output is full, one of the workers will pick up ALL the refined stone and take it to a storage box. All fine and dandy there.
Thing is, with the automated, no workers required kind of stone processor (VI I think but not sure) the workers suddenly get really lazy. When you assign a worker to the building, he will move the stone from the factory to the storage box, but he will only do it one stone at a time, and ONLY when the factory is at full output.
This creates quite a bit of a delay in stone processing, as the factory has to wait not just on new materials, but also on the assigned worker actually bothering to do his job and move stuff. Not only do they only move one bit of stone at a time, but there is also a bit of lag between the factory output being full, and the worker starting to move his one bit of stone.
Like I said, not crippling, but irritating, there should be no labor unions in the post-apocalypse. :p
Strange AI activity with automated buildings.
It s an already known thing, and will be fixed with the introductions of "jobs" if i am not wrong, wrong name, but read somehwere about it. You ll have let s say a miner, and he wil make sure everything is working fine, one of them will be to clear the automated machines i believe.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Indeed, upcoming AI revamps should correct a number of unusual behaviors present in the current system.

So i have a stone processor V, this is supposed to be completely automated... but without any workers able to work this processor because it doesn't require them they will not take the building materials to storage, they just stand there like a bunch of morons. Is this also a known broken feature?

I am going to assume it is. A character with a backpack on just stands there like an idiot forever, while one that doesn't have a backpack will take the materials to storage, but only after the output is totally full and there is a slight delay before they act.
That was what the OP mentioned, is what we answer to before as well
, so if you read the posts above you have the answer.
Or you can do here, the automated machines aren t being interacted with at the moment so to say, as seem only the machines which allow workers can be taken and replaced automaticly, except some, which you need to do at hand, and automated is one of them, as Clawdius said will be fixed with the AI revamp.hbrown wrote:It s an already known thing, and will be fixed with the introductions of "jobs" if i am not wrong, wrong name, but read somehwere about it. Right, my original issue was a little different... but after playing with some things i landed at the OP's issue and thus answered my own question when i posted. I mainly wanted to throw the backpack and no backpack thing in there. So people could at least take the packs off so the worker does something even if it is inefficient as hell. Its only the automated stone processor that gives me issues, the other automated buildings appear to work fine.
